Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Positions to Study Metabolic Syndrome via Mitochondrial Medicine and Stem Cell Biology - The Center for Molecular and Mitochondrial Medicine and Genetics (MAMMAG) at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine) is recruiting two tenure-track Assistant Professors, each under the combined auspices of the UC Irvine Schools of Medicine and Biological Sciences. These faculty positions are designated for doctoral level biomedical scientists, physicians and physician-scientists with a strong interest in the genetics and pathophysiology of diabetes and metabolic disease, from the perspectives of mitochondrial medicine and stem cell biology.

This position supports the needs and objectives of the Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community (PRIME-LC). Responsibilities to PRIME-LC include teaching, mentoring students, and service on administrative committees. MAMMAG was founded at UC Irvine in 2002 to foster translational research through application of the paradigms of mitochondrial medicine and the tools of stem cell biology.
